Batida (SNES)

Batida is a homebrew game for the Super Nintendo: a rhythm game where notes fall down colored lanes and you press the right button the moment each note touches the line. Play 30 public domain classical pieces, from Beethoven to Rimsky-Korsakov, and climb the career from gentle melodies to the Flight of the Bumblebee.

Every note you play is a note of the melody. Miss one and the melody goes silent until your next hit. Keep the orchestra playing.

🧩 How to Play

• Notes fall down the lanes. Press the button of the lane when the note touches the white line.
• 4 NOTES mode: the melody is split into 4 lanes.
• 7 NOTES mode: one lane for each note of the scale - DO RE MI FA SOL LA SI.
• Each note is judged PERFECT, GOOD or MISS. A MISS breaks your combo and silences the melody until your next hit.
• Every song is scored up to 1,000,000 points and ranked from S to D.
• CAREER: 30 songs in order. Get rank C or better to unlock the next one.
• PRACTICE: play any song at any time.

Batida_v1.smc - LoROM, 256 KB, battery-backed SRAM (2 KB), NTSC (also runs on PAL systems).

Tested with the Snes9x and bsnes emulator cores (as used in RetroArch).
