Find 87 (v3)

Find 87 is a homebrew game for the Super Nintendo. A grid of numbers, a ticking clock and one goal: find the 87 before time runs out.

It sounds easy. It is, at first. Then the numbers start to blur, the clock gets shorter and every wrong pick costs you two seconds.

🧩 How to Play

• Move the frame over the cell that shows 87 and press A.
• Every level has a timer. If it reaches zero, the run is over.
• A wrong pick turns the cell red and takes 2 seconds off the timer.
• Easy Mode: 99 levels. Every cell shows the level number, except one: the 87.
• Hard Mode: 10 levels. All numbers from 00 to 99, shuffled, with less time on every level.
• N x N Mode: 10 levels. The grid grows from a single 1x1 cell up to 10x10.

💾 How to Run

Download Find87_v3.smc (LoROM, 256 KB, NTSC, works on PAL consoles) and open it in a Super Nintendo emulator. Tested on Snes9x and bsnes; it also runs in RetroArch with either core.

• Last Second — Find the 87 with only 1 second left on the timer.
• Golden Grid (Easter Egg) — Eight lefts, seven rights... some menus shine brighter than others.
• 87 Everywhere (Easter Egg) — Sometimes you just have to hold on to both sides.
